Christmas wishes
Gosh, sorry I haven't been blogging much lately.
I want to make sure to wish you all (y'all) a very Merry Christmas season.
Today is only 3 days from Christmas, (how did that happen?) so, I hope you all finish up your lists and get all your errands run so that you can take the time to rejoice in the meaning and enjoy time (or long phone calls) with your family and friends. Enjoy embracing your old or new holiday traditions and may your days will be filled with blessings.
I have been busy, as I'm sure you have been too.
I dusted off my rubber stamps (oh-oh the D word) and made a few handmade cards for close family.
This year we did something new and even sent some of our cards in the form of e-cards. Yikes, I'm not real sure about doing this. I guess because it's a change from what we've always done and I don't know if people like getting them that way. After all you can't hang them up or put them on a shelf but there are such beautiful cards to choose from and the animations are very cool. Another plus is I don't have to stand in the card isle at the store trying to decide on which cards to buy. It always takes me forever to decide. My DH sends me on my own for this purchase.
I guess another plus is it's eco-friendly, hmmmm
what do you think?
Then it was on to cookie baking! I love making Christmas cookies and yes, I love eating them too :)
So far I have made chocolate brownie cookies with peanut butter morsels, spritz cookies, sugar cookies, ginger snaps and today I am going to make DH's favorite, cream cheese pillows.
It's been quite chilly the last few days so having the oven on is an added bonus. Do you have favorite cookies you make every year?
Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too...
Oh, look at all your wonderful cookies!!! I think I'll drop by your house, LOL. Well, no I won't as I have a nasty cold. Started yesterday and with things as they are this season, even though we have ordered a large meat and cheese tray that will feed 25 (we actually do that so that we can send some of it home with our daughters and grandkids. Anyway, I digress. If my cold is no better, my hubby will take their gifts to them along with part of the deli tray and cookies and pies, rather than take a chance on spreading germs along with Christmas cheer! As for a favorite cookie, this year I'm making that old stand by, oatmeal raisin. I have to make separate batches because some of the family hates rasins. So one batch will just be oatmeal walnut. If I feel up to it, I may make more of your wonderful Gingersnaps, they were a hit! Then I make some lemon cream pies...add the meat tray, some rolls and chips and my Christmas day cooking is done. (everything easy peasy) Okay, I've rambled on quite enough. Here's wishing you and all your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. OH! by they way Linda, your home made Christmas cards are beautiful!
Oh such beautiful cookies!!!
Wanted to come wish you and yours a Very Very Merry Christmas and all the goodness the New Year can bring you!
Hugs,
Lola
Merry Christmas Linda!
